Youth Information Chat provides factual, evidence-based information for young people in Ireland.  This online service offers information, advice and guidance about the issues that matter most to young people.

Working as a partnership since 2019, Crosscare, Spunout, YMCA and Youth Work Ireland led the way in providing youth information in the digital space.

Youth Information Chat allows people to discuss topics and ask questions they may not otherwise ask.  The service provides quality conversations about the issues that matter most to young people.  In 2021, young people sought help and advice on a wide range of life issues – with Mental health and access to education among the critical topics concerning young people for the year.

Youth Information Officers aim to enable young people to make their own informed choices and become independent and active citizens.  Youth Information Officers provide information in a way that is accessible, non-judgemental, and welcoming for young people.  Youth Information Officers staff YI Chat.
