Crosscare’s Information & Advocacy Service was invited to make a presentation to the Joint Committee on Children, Disability, Integration and Youth on the experiences of Migrant Communities engaging with State Bodies. Crosscare was represented by Sr. Breege Keenan and Noel Neenan.
They told the committee of their vital work trying to promote stability and quality of life for vulnerable and marginalised populations.
Sr. Breege and Noel delivered a detailed submission to the Commmittee. They made a number of important recommendations to members on the need to improve intercultural awareness to ensure staff in State bodies are supported and equipped to work with diverse population groups.
