We are delighted to announce that two of our youth services — Dún Laoghaire and Swords — are among nine services nationwide to receive the Rainbow Award, recognising their commitment to creating truly LGBTQ+ inclusive spaces.
At the awards ceremony, young people and youth workers spoke powerfully about the positive, real-world impact the Rainbow Award initiative has had within their services — making spaces safer, more welcoming, and more affirming.
A huge congratulations to all the youth services recognised for this achievement, and a special shout-out to our incredible teams in Dún Laoghaire and Swords.
Their dedication is already changing lives and will continue to support the thousands of LGBTQ+ young people who walk through our doors in the years ahead.
Swords and Dun Laoghaire follow in the proud footsteps of our services in East Wicklow and Bray, both of which were previous winners of the award. Well done, everyone!
