Tell me about Voluntary Summer Projects

A Summer Project is a programme of recreational, educational and fun activities for children and young people in the Summer months (usually July and August). Crosscare Summer Projects are organised by adults from local communities, who come together to plan, organise and run activities.

Crosscare Summer Projects are open to young people between the ages of 4 to 17 years and are run by volunteers from local communities, supported by Crosscare staff.

Volunteerism is strongly embedded within the ethos of Crosscare – Summer Projects due to local volunteers’ dedicated commitment.

Crosscare Summer Projects are supported financially and practically by Local Authorities and Education & Training Boards.
