Crosscare is delighted to have received almost €83,000 in funding as a result of the phenomenal public response to last year’s Late Late Toy Show Appeal.
The first of its kind, the TV appeal for charities raised almost €6.6million. Crosscare applied for support from the Community Foundation of Ireland, who were charged with distributed the monies raised throughout the country.
We applied for funding to support our vital work with families in helping alleviate food poverty. Crosscare is committed to helping people address the issues that brought families into food poverty such as precarious employment, debt, addiction or family breakdown.
By helping people overcome these issues, we can support them in moving towards financial security and no longer needing food support.
Last year, Crosscare Community Food Banks distributed almost 15,000 parcels to families and people in need. Crosscare has five Community Food Banks in Dublin in Dun Laoghaire, Dundrum, Darndale, Jobstown and Swords.
